Classes description

Beginner only Classes
Tuesday 5:30 – 6:30 PM

Beginner-only classes provide a structured introduction to aikido fundamentals, following a carefully designed progression for newcomers. These classes run during university semesters (September and January starts)

Instructor: Jason L.

Mixed-level classes
Tuesday 6:30 PM – 8 PM & Thursday 5 PM – 6 PM

Mixed-level classes welcome both beginners and experienced practitioners. Beginners benefit from seeing advanced techniques while experienced students reinforce their fundamentals by practicing with newcomers.

Instructors: Jason L. & Rob M.

Weapons & Disarmament
Thursday @ 6 PM – 7 PM

The second hour on Thursdays is dedicated to weapons training and how to work with them. While weapons practice is slightly more advanced, it is open to all levels and offers valuable insights into the fundamentals of Aikido.

Instructors: Mario L., Gilles L.

Advanced Classes
Thursday @ 7 PM – 8 PM

The last hour on Thursdays focuses on advanced Aikido techniques. It is generally recommended to have at least a 4th kyu rank or to be confident in your ukemi skills, including breakfalls.

Instructors: Gilles L., Michael D.

Intermediate Classes
Saturday @ 10 AM – 11:30 AM

Saturday classes are a great opportunity for intermediate practitioners to advance by working on more complex techniques and focusing on the feeling behind the movements. It is recommended to be comfortable with falling techniques.

Instructor: Pierre M.

Open Training
 Sunday @ 10 AM – 12PM

During open training, there is an instructor present, but they do not lead a class. Instead, they supervise and provide guidance as needed. Practitioners come together to support each other in their learning, and there are always advanced practitioners available to help you progress. Open training is also the perfect time to prepare for grading exams.

Instructor : Jacques P.
