Saturday, 06 October 2018. McGill Aikido Seminar with Laura Jacobs Pavlick
Place: McGiII Aikido Dojo (475 Avenue des Pins Ouest, Montreal).

Seminar lead by Shihan Laura Jacobs Pavlick, Founder and Chief Instructor of Litchfield Hills Aikikai.
Sensei Pavlick began Aikido at New York Aikikai, under the direction of Yoshimitsu Yamada in 1981.
As a shodan, she was assigned to teach a regularly scheduled class at NYA while also taking several
classes daily. In the early 1990s she moved to northwestern Connecticut and opened Litchfield Hills Aikikai in Bantam, Ct. where she has been Chief Instructor since its inception. The title of ‘Shihan’ was awarded to her on January 1st 2018.
Laura Pavlick Sensei has incorporated the aikido community into her life beyond the mat by holding the position of Director of Operations for the United States Aikido Federation. She is the Editor of the online newsletter ‘USAF Aikido News’ « www.usafaikidonews.com » and serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors of the USAF.

Notre «Séminaire du semestre d’automne» aura lieu au dojo d'Aïkido McGiII, le samedi, 6 octobre 2018 et sera animé par Shihan Laura Jacobs Pavlick, Fondatrice et Instructeure-en-chef de Litchfield Hills Aikikai.
Sensei Pavlick a débuté l'Aïkido au New York Aikikai, sous la direction de Yoshimitsu Yamada en 1981.
Dès l’obtention de sa ceinture-noire, elle a été assignée à donner une classe régulière à l’Aikikai tout en s’y entrainant quotidiennement.
À l’aube des années 1990’s, elle se relocalisa dans l’état du Connecticut et y fonda le Litchfield Hills Aikikai à Bantam, Ct. Elle en est depuis l’Instructeure-en-chef, et a reçu le titre de ‘Shihan’ le 1er janvier 2018.
Sensei Laura Pavlick a de plus incorporé la communauté de l’Aïkido dans sa vie personnelle en prenant charge du poste de Directrice des opérations de la Fédération américaine d’aïkido (USAF).
Elle est la Rédactrice-en-chef du journal en ligne ‘USAF Aikido News’ « www.usafaikidonews.com » et occupe la fonction de Secrétaire du Conseil d’administration de la USAF.

Saturday, 03 March 2018. McGill Aikido Seminar with Don Dickie Sensei
Place: McGiII Aikido Dojo (475 Avenue des Pins Ouest, Montreal).

Seminar led by Don Dickie, 6th Dan Shidoin. Organized by McGill Aikido.
Sensei Don began practicing aikido in 1980 and became Chief Instructor of the Ottawa Aikikai in 1990.
Currently holds a 6th Dan in Aikido and a 3rd Dan in Tae Kwon Do. Dickie Sensei also practices meditation (Tibetan Buddhism) and Qigong, a Chinese health system that focuses on the movement of Ki throughout the body.
The primary influences on Don's formative years in Aikido came from the late Kanai Sensei and Chiba Sensei, as well as Yamada Sensei and Mary Heiny Sensei.
Bring your weapons, your zoris to walk from the change rooms to the dojo and a padlock for a locker.
