McGill Aikido is located in the new part of the McGill University Sports Complex in a splendid facility reserved for Martial Arts. The Dojo is accessible to "general public" and all aikidokas in general. Regular classes are held year round as per « Class Schedule » below. They are accessible to all aikidokas with at least one beginners Semester of training. Classes for beginners are based on a Semester schedule with blocks of ten (10) weeks in the Fall and Winter and a block of six (6) weeks in the Spring, of two weekly sessions (2 hours) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus open training on Sundays. The Head-Instructor, Daniel Laurendeau 7th Dan Shihan is supported by Senior Instructor Gilles Longpré 7th Dan Shihan, Assistant-Instructors Juan-Carlos Cruz Godan, Jacques Pharand Yondan, Jason Lambert Sandan, Pierre Marier, Louise Potvin and Raymond Yuan Shodans. Aikidokas of all styles and affiliation are welcome to join McGill Aikido, and it is with pleasure that we encourage visitors to come and train with us. Please notify us at least two days in advance if you wish to attend a class, as arrangements need to be made with Campus Security.
